“Last night was BRILLIANT! – – – one of the best nights we have had at The Moorcock. Huge thanks to Jeff Stewart for keeping us rolling about laughing with his jokes and songs, what a start to the festive season.” Andy Clayton, Moorcock, Blacko.

“Well I don’t know about you lot but my Friday night has been fabulous. Jeff Stewart was hilarious and worth hunting down to see him play somewhere. He’s pure comedy genius as well.” ~Rebecca, Trawden Community Centre.

Now in its 15th year, the festival also held the traditional Comic Song Competition, which was won ‘hands down’ by Colne man Jeff Stewart with a self-penned composition based on the novel ’50 Shades of Grey’.

The voice, the presence, the material and delivery, were all first class. The gentle reminder of times and events from our childhood went down particularly well!

Jeff Stewart who was camping with us kept us all in stitches with his amusing anecdotes and comedic songs ( though it’s a bit worrying that I actually remember most of his nostalgic memoirs!)

  2. Just had to make a comment after seeing Jeff briefly at the Wirral folk festival. This guy is a genius the couple of numbers I heard we’re clever and above all incredibly funny. I’ve never really been a big folk fan I’ve now been converted and I’m eagerly awaiting Jeff’s new CD. Tony from Warrington Cheshire

  5. Jeff, your CD is magic. Heard your songs soooo many times, and still laugh out loud, but “About Time” is something else. The little additions are a masterclass in production. Fab. Rob. Xx

  6. THE MOORCOCK ACOUSTIC MUSIC NIGHT, BLACKO.

Jeff Stewart has been one of our resident singer/songwriters every month since we started the club some seven years ago. He has never failed to cause a mirth explosion each month, he is a superb comic song writer, and we are so lucky to have him and his wife Jan, both as friends and regular performers.

He has finally made a new C.D, and it puts him firmly on the map, alongside such performers as Bernard Wrigley, Jasper Carrot, Tony Capstick and Mike Harding . . . Buy the C.D or come to The Moocock to see him in action, either way you will not be disappointed . . .

    Andrew Clayton, club organiser.
